THE RECORD

A great example of an adaptive re-use of a local historically significant building in Downtown Bentonville. EDG designed the landscape of this project by concentrating on the site's location. The Record is located in the Ozark Highlands Ecoregion and in knowing this information, we focused on populating the site with plants native to the area.

This approach to site design helps to encourage long lasting equilibrium between urbanization and Bentonville's natural ecological systems. Utilizing native plants enables us to help foster healing between the environment and the growing urban areas in Arkansas by bringing native pollinators and beneficial insects. This not only benefits the ecosystem but also those that end up utilizing this venue. These native plants allow the venue to feel secluded in the surrounding nature while simultaneously being located in downtown Bentonville, AR.
