Located along the banks of the White River, Riverside Park has undergone a complete reimagining. Thanks to recent ballot initiatives and the City of Batesville’s progressive thinking, Batesville will soon be home to a park that the entirety of the Northeastern region of the state can be proud of. The updated site has been designed to celebrate the White River’s historical and ecological significance in the state of Arkansas.
One of the most significant updates to the existing site is an extensive trail system that includes both paved and unpaved trails, woven through the park to provide more opportunities for walking, running, and biking than is currently available.
Additionally proposed areas of the park incorporate different types of engagement with park-goers. These include multi-use courts, inclusive play areas, a water play area, a nature play area, and a pump track!
