CROOKED CREEK STREAM RESTORATION

Lake Harrison was created in the 90s as a dam was constructed along Crooked Creek in downtown Harrison for recreational use. Over the years sediment buildup and flooding concerns have allowed for the discussion of removing the dam and restoring the stream while allowing public interaction.

The spring fed stream segment has the ability to provide natural water playground to downtown Harrison while improving water quality downstream. the addition of wetlands allows for urban stormwater mitigation while providing habitat and public education of the ecological importance of crooked creek to this community.
