Sydney is an Arkansas native with a passion for ecological restoration. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2021 and spent several years post-graduation working on conservation and ecological restoration projects across the country. Most recently, she led the construction of stream restoration projects along the Merced River in Yosemite National Park. After being drawn back to the Natural State to be closer to her family, she want to continue to keep her work ecologically centered.

Sydney believes that if we respect and care for the environment we live in, it will continue to take care of us. We are all part of one big system and everything we do matters. This philosophy of balance and respect is what drew her to her current position at EDG, as it is a place with a strong ecological focus and commitment to low-impact design. Outside of work, you can find Sydney enjoying the outdoors in any way she can, with her favorite being paddling our beautiful Ozark streams.
