Yesterday, the City of Batesville officially broke ground on the long-anticipated $25 million renovation of Riverside Park — a bold, community-driven project that will redefine outdoor recreation, accessibility, and quality of life in the region.
Ecological Design Group is proud to be part of the project team alongside Taggart Architects and Clark Contractors. From an inclusive, nature-inspired playground to a new Events Center overlooking the White River, the reimagined park is designed to serve people of all ages and abilities — offering new opportunities for play, celebration, connection, and wellness.
This milestone represents years of vision and planning, supported overwhelmingly by Batesville voters in 2023 without a tax increase. Construction is now underway, with the park expected to reopen in December 2026.
